Preorder & Lay-Buy Information

At Mr & Mrs Christmas, some of our most special seasonal pieces are made available for Preorder or Lay-Buy throughout the year. These options allow you to secure your favourites early and plan your celebrations with confidence.

Please read the information below before placing your order.

What is a Preorder?

A preorder allows you to purchase an item before it arrives in stock with us. Each preorder product includes an estimated arrival timeframe on its product page.

Preorders are offered for a limited period and may close early if available allocations are exhausted.

Availability

We carefully monitor product availability throughout the preorder period. In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable or cannot be supplied, you will receive a full refund for the affected item.

Other items within the same order will remain confirmed unless you are advised otherwise.

Estimated Arrival Timeframes

All preorder arrival timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occasionally occur due to manufacturing, freight, customs or other circumstances outside our control. We will keep you updated if there is a significant change to your estimated arrival timeframe.

Please allow additional time for your order to be inspected, packed and dispatched once it arrives with us.

Orders Containing Multiple Items

Orders are dispatched once all items within the order are available.

This includes orders containing:

  • Preorder and in-stock items
  • Preorder items with different arrival timeframes

Your order will be dispatched after the item with the latest arrival timeframe becomes available. Please place separate orders if you would like available items sent sooner.

Payment

Full payment is required when placing a preorder. This confirms your order within our available preorder allocation.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Please choose carefully before placing your preorder.

Preorders cannot be cancelled, exchanged, changed or refunded for change of mind once placed. Items also cannot be added to or removed from an existing preorder.

If we are unable to supply an item, you will receive a full refund for that item to your original payment method.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged or Faulty Items

Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@mrandmrschristmas.com.au if your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect.

Include your order number and clear photographs of:

  • The affected item
  • The shipping carton
  • Any damaged packaging

Please retain all packaging while we review the issue. We will assist you with the appropriate resolution and any required carrier claim.

What Is Lay-Buy?

Lay-Buy allows you to secure your order now and pay it off over time through automatic instalments via PayPal.

Lay-Buy Terms

  • Lay-Buy is available on all orders, no minimum spend required
  • A 20% deposit is required to secure your order and may be retained as a cancellation or termination fee, subject to Australian Consumer Law
  • The 20% deposit is non-refundable
  • A small once-off admin fee may apply depending on your order value
  • There are no interest charges or late fees

How Lay-Buy Works

To place a Lay-Buy order:

  • Add your items to cart
  • Select Put It On Lay-Buy (via PayPal) at checkout under Alternative Payment Methods
  • Choose your preferred repayment timeframe
  • Payments will then be automatically scheduled through your linked PayPal account

To avoid failed payments, please ensure:

  • Your linked card remains valid for the full Lay-Buy period
  • Sufficient funds are available for each scheduled payment

Lay-Buy Dispatch Timeframes

Lay-Buy orders are dispatched once all payments have been completed.

  • In-stock items will be shipped once your Lay-Buy has been paid in full
  • Preorder items will be shipped once final payment has been received and stock has arrived at our warehouse

Changes & Cancellations

  • Once a Lay-Buy order has been placed, items cannot be changed or added to the order
  • Preorders placed via Lay-Buy cannot be cancelled for change of mind except where cancellation rights apply under Australian Consumer Law
  • Orders not completed within the selected payment schedule may be cancelled, with the 20% deposit retained as a cancellation fee
